The collection’s name is “hideout” because the whole concept behind it is the need to hide, in fact the world where my collection takes place is a world where everything must be hidden, even your feelings, to defend yourself from the outside.

This concept of hiding is in all the details of the garments. Like the two hoods, which have been used since their invention to cover one’s face. Both hoods cover the face in two different ways though, one covers the low part/mouth and nose with a mask which can be removed, the other covers the eyes with a visor.

The jacket “001” even presents three layers of technical fabric on the left shoulder, which are supposed to create a cape-like look, to give the idea of protection. Always on that jacket, two welt pockets are hidden inside two pleats on the sides.

Instead, on the jacket “002” there are two pockets on the front which are formed by the plaid on the back that is sewn with the front, not on the sides but on the stomach. This gives the idea that the plaid is kind of protecting who’s wearing it, keeping him warm and safe. The two pockets on the front have zips on the side that, if opened, reveal two bellows that enlarge the pockets. You can’t really see the pockets openings when the zips are closed, so it looks like the zips are the openings, but when they are opened and the bellows unfold, you can see that they really are on the top.

The last detail in the outfit “002” that takes inspiration from hiding/protecting
